Living in the Hunter has provided a safe harbour since I moved here ten years ago.
The beauty of the landscape and waterways have inspired and nurtured me in my life and creative practice.
In the painting, the metaphor of a safe harbour with deep, tranquil, reflective waters, suggests a sanctuary, a place of rest and recuperation, free from stress and fear.
This is what the Hunter means to me.
